Specialized Behavioral and Emotional Care Programs

AgeSong at Laguna Grove’s Specialized Behavioral and Emotional Care Program is based on a non-pathological view of creating therapeutic environments. Our process-oriented, humanistic approach to care and services allows residents to be who they are. Our staff tries to approach human interactions and behaviors with curiosity and hope for a deeper understanding about their meaning. In turn, this understanding helps us learn how to best help and care for each resident. Our staff, clinicians, and interns are committed to creating compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive environments for residents with high acuity needs.

Mind-Body-Spirit Program

Deepening our core value of integrative care and services, AgeSong is providing a true psycho-bio-spiritual program for our elders in San Francisco. As part of this innovative program, Hampton Health, Ltd. under the medical direction of Dr. John H. Fullerton, operates a medical office inside our AgeSong communities in San Francisco. This on-site office provides innovative methods to deliver in-depth, comprehensive and compassionate geriatric care and wellness. In addition, medical and psychology students are cross trained to integrate psychology, medicine and spirituality into their support and treatment programs. AgeSong residents are also given the opportunity to sign up for a membership with The Hampton Health On-Site Geriatric Medical Practice, taking advantage of easy access to medical care and the many other benefits it provides.
